Job description

Join Amazon's AMXL team as a Supply Chain Manager supporting middle mile long-term planning. You will play a key role in shaping network strategy across the 1-5 year horizon, working with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation cost, carrier mix, and capacity planning for Amazon's extra large item delivery network. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decisions that impact millions of customer deliveries.
Key job responsibilities
- Support middle mile network strategy and execution planning for the 1-5 year horizon
- Configure and analyze optimization models to assess network scenarios and produce strategy recommendations
- Coordinate planning cycle inputs across Retail, Finance, Operations, and Science teams
- Analyze transportation cost drivers including carrier mix, attainment, and sort center connectivity
- Build and maintain full year plans for middle mile operations across US and Canada
- Support development of strategic planning documents for leadership review
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost-to-serve and improve network efficiency
A day in the life
Your primary focus is building and analyzing long-term transportation plans for the AMXL network

You'll spend your time running scenarios through optimization tools, digging into the data to understand what's driving costs, and working with partners across finance, operations, and science to make sure the plans reflect reality. During busier periods, you'll help pull together the inputs and analysis that go into strategy documents for senior leaders. Outside of those cycles, you'll have time to dig into specific problems - like how carrier mix impacts cost, or where the network has capacity gaps - and bring recommendations to the team.
