Job description

Position Highlights:
The HR Systems Analyst provides technical expertise to the Human Resources Department, supporting Workday system setup, user acceptance testing, workflow, end-user documentation, analysis, and resolution of functional and integration issues. This role supports system upgrades, data uploads, and the creation and maintenance of HR-system interfaces, as well as data and web support. The analyst identifies HR department needs, evaluates impacts on other services, and helps implement strategies to improve processes or introduce new software. This role offers end-user support, technical assistance, and training to team members, generates SQL reports, and analyzes HR data to support informed decision-making. The HR Systems Analyst also collaborates with and supports the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, issue resolution, documentation, and ongoing support of HR-related automations.
HR Systems Implementation, Upgrades & Enhancements:
  • Support planning and execution of HR system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements in partnership with HR, IT, and vendors.
  • Develop test plans, conduct UAT, document results, and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Provide end‑user training and support to ensure successful adoption.

System Administration, Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide day‑to‑day administration and end‑user support for HR systems.
  • Troubleshoot functional and performance issues; coordinate with IT and vendors as needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis for system issues and support corrective actions.
  • Support system integrations by defining data requirements and specifications.

User Security & Access Management:
  • Manage user security and access across HR systems, including audits and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with security and access standards.

Documentation, Training & Knowledge Support:
  • Create and maintain system documentation, data integration documents, procedures, and training materials.
  • Update documentation to reflect system changes and enhancements.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members and system users.

Reporting & Data Analytics:
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and reports to support HR reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity for decision‑making.

Project Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead or support small to medium HR technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and support change management efforts.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA):
  • Partner with and support the RPA team by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, issue resolution, and documentation for HR‑related automations.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for HR automations and coordinate enhancements or fixes as needed.

Minimum Experience Required:
  • Hands‑on experience supporting Workday, including system administration, testing, reporting, or integrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business, or a related field OR equivalent experience. 
    • Five (5) years of progressive HRIS and/or IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience in HRIS and/or IT, including at least one (1) year leading or supporting projects.
  • Experience with HRIS administration, configuration, and support.
  • Experience supporting ERP platforms and HR systems (e.g., Workday, Lawson, or PeopleSoft).
  • Experience supporting or partnering on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of SQL report creation and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting HR systems in a large, complex, or healthcare enterprise environment.
  • Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams (HR, IT, vendors) on system implementations or upgrades.
