Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Planning Engineer in Juno Beach, FL.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* System Planning Engineer will collect engineering drawings and technical datasheets from internal and external sources as inputs for modeling and studies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information before use
* Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and equipment data to support project documentation
* Track the status of ongoing studies performed internally and by external consultants, and help provide required information or data inputs to ensure studies progress smoothly and on schedule
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions with guidance from senior engineers
* Assist in preparing and reviewing basic power flow, voltage, and stability studies under supervision
* Learn and apply industry-standard software tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and PSLF
* Support the creation and validation of models for solar, wind, and battery projects
* As a System Planning Engineer, you will assist in monitoring interconnection requirements and documenting impacts for internal use
* Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes to improve efficiency
* Prepare draft reports, presentations, and communications for review by senior staff
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)
* Interest in power systems, renewable energy, and transmission planning
* Willingness to learn power system analysis tools and modeling techniques
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
