Job description

Job Description: Work Shift: Second Shift: Monday thru Thursday 2:45 PM to 11:15 AM, and Friday 10:30 AM to 2:15 PM This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency. The Hydraulic Technician performs hydraulic mechanical tasks on Aerospace parts and assemblies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Perform assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job sheets. 2. Maintain high productivity while producing quality parts. 3. Follow written technical instructions and drawings. 4. Proof test by placing valves in block and re-testing. 5. Work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals. 6. Troubleshoot problems during assembly and test. 7. Responsible for the upkeep and inventory of company hand tools and tooling. 8. Support company goals and policies. 9. Set-up test stand and test valves and assemblies to meet specifications on job sheets. 10. Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets, etc. 11. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedure and communicates to management. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: โ€ข High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED). โ€ข Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position demonstrating mechanical aptitude . โ€ข Prior experience in manufacturing and assembly related industry is an asset. โ€ข Working knowledge and prior experience using hand tools and gages (torque wrenches, calipers). โ€ข Familiarity with hydraulic / pneumatic principles and related hardware (flow testing, cracking and resetting of valves) is an asset. โ€ข Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, job sheets, and written work instructions. โ€ข Demonstrate good mechanical skills and abilities. โ€ข Work overtime as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: โ€ข Pass visual acuity exam. โ€ข Required lifting weight: 35 lbs. Lifting frequency: Daily. โ€ข Required to stand for long time periods (for a minimum of 8 hours or more.) โ€ข Frequently twist and bend. โ€ข Be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals. POSITION COMPETENCIES: โ€ข Team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done. โ€ข Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasks. โ€ข Comfortable with change and Continuous Improvement. โ€ข Work safely by following all safety procedures. โ€ข Maintain a safe, clean, and neat workspace. โ€ข Support the Site and company Quality policies (i.e. FOD and line clearance policies of the company). โ€ข Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents.
