Job description

Company Description

We're Hiring A Closing Operations Dispatch

Dicey’s Logistics Service is hiring a Closing Operations Dispatcher for our Wednesday–Saturday shift at the Amazon warehouse in Etna, OH.

We’re a growing Amazon DSP with 100+ employees, and we’re looking for someone dependable, organized, calm under pressure, and good with people. This role is ideal for someone who has experience as a driver trainer, team lead, dispatcher, or supervisor and wants to continue growing into operations and leadership over time.

Job Description

This is a hybrid role — part of the day will still involve delivering routes, while the second half focuses on supporting dispatch operations and helping drivers successfully return from their routes.

This is NOT a high-pressure management position where you’re expected to solve major operational issues alone. Dispatchers work closely with ownership and leadership for support and escalation when larger problems arise. Most day-to-day responsibilities involve helping drivers with delivery questions, app issues, van concerns, organization, and closeout procedures.

What You’ll Do:
• Support dispatch operations during closing hours
• Help drivers safely and successfully return from routes
• Assist with rescues and route support when needed
• Guide drivers through delivery app issues, van questions, and return procedures
• Communicate updates and escalate larger issues to leadership when necessary
• Inspect vans and route equipment nightly
• Track attendance, DVIC compliance, incident reports, and fleet notes
• Help keep closing operations organized and running smoothly
• Work alongside leadership and support newer drivers/team members

Schedule:
Wednesday–Saturday
12:00 PM – 10:00

Pay & Benefits:
• Starting at $22.55/hour
• Overtime opportunities available
• Consistent 40+ hours
• PTO
• Health insurance
• 401(k) contributions
• Tuition Reimbursement and leadership development opportunities
• Growth opportunities within a growing logistics company

While holiday peak season and Amazon Prime weeks can become more fast-paced, most nights involve steady teamwork, organization, communication, and helping drivers close out their routes successfully.

At Dicey’s Logistics Service, we value people who are dependable, adaptable, team-oriented, and willing to grow alongside the company.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:
• Previous driver training, dispatch, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred
• Customer service or team-leading experience encouraged (retail/food service leadership experience transfers well)
• Strong communication and people skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and basic technology
• Reliable, consistent, and punctual
• Physically active and comfortable delivering routes during part of the shift
• Someone looking for a stable role with long-term growth opportunities
