Job description

Amazon is looking for a Communications Specialist to join its Stores Communications team supporting Prime Air drone delivery. Prime Air is Amazon's commercial drone delivery service-a fully operational, FAA-authorized program delivering to customers across multiple U.S. metro areas

This role will provide strategic communications support for Prime Air andis based in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA.
This roleoperatesat the forefront of innovation, requiring the ability to drive communications strategies in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. The ideal candidate will bring structure to complexity while helping customers understand, trust, and adopt transformative delivery technology.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead and execute media strategies to support customer understanding of Amazon's Prime Airdrone deliveryservice.
- Manage proactive media stories and incoming media inquiries with high judgment.
- Develop and manage reactive communications for operational topics.


- Prepare forward-looking plans for emerging issuesand scenarios.
- Develop informative written and visual content to help tell the story of Prime Air across media, digital, and social channels.
- Support executive communications and briefing materials for media events.


- Work across internal stakeholders to deliver objectives.
- Write and execute communications plans.
- Develop and write press releases and media pitches.


- Build relationships with reporters from key media outlets.
- Write, develop, and manage approvals for communications and external messaging dealing with sensitive and timely topics. .
