Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are looking for a high ownership and results-oriented individual to support Data Center Spares planning. You will work across the team and its customers to align on a short and long-range supply plan. You will contribute to our Global Spare Planning function to understand the needs of our data centers across our network and manage the inventory across different nodes of our supply chain.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and communicate comprehensive spare parts inventory strategies and processes in alignment with multiple channels, department plans, key inventory targets, and business goals.
• Create and execute strategies for the implementation of replenishment and inventory achieve key business outcomes while proactively identifying improvements.
• Leverage reports and analytics to make recommendations in line with business strategy and goals.
• Monitor and Review historical usage trends, research demand drivers, utilize forecast data ad statistical forecast models, analyze auto generated forecast output, and evaluate forecast results
• Interact with data center operations, hardware engineering, business service owners, supply chain teams, logistics operations, and other multi-functional stake holders to understand business needs and demand drivers.
• Review buying multiples, minimums, replenished forecasts, lead-times, and vendor performance to optimize inventory performance.
• Partner and collaborate with business partners, suppliers, and operations proactively for the collaborative forecasting process to drive inventory optimization, part availability and cost productivity.
• Develop Strategies and mechanisms to monitor, reduce, and control inventory excess across regions and categories
A successfull candidate will need to:
• Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to need for approvals from executives.
• Tkae Initiative, willing to "get hands dirty" in a start-up environment while simultaneously developing processes, automation, and delivering results
• Clearly define data requirements and metrics, working with teams to implement the entire data flow from capture to presentation and management
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
- 5+ years of supply chain management, planning, strategic sourcing, commodity management or program management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- Proven track record of high impact business results
- Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment.
- A strong sense of ownership over work
- Superior analytical skills, with ability to dive in and quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions.
- Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of Inventory Management principles and systems

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
