Job description

Lead safety for the construction and launch of a state of the art manufacturing facility, shaping how safety is built into the operation from the ground up.
Own the journey from construction through Day 1 and beyond-building the programs, culture, and team you'll ultimately lead as Site Safety Manager.
Key job responsibilities
This role serves as the primary Safety subject matter expert and strategic partner for construction leadership, contractors, engineering teams, operations, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The Construction Safety Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive construction safety programs designed to identify hazards early, reduce or eliminate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a strong safety culture from initial construction through operational readiness.
A day in the life
As an AMS Construction Safety Manager, you'll be where the action is-partnering with construction leaders, engineers, contractors, and operations teams to solve complex safety challenges. Your day may include walking active construction sites, evaluating high-risk work, reviewing equipment installations, leading risk assessments, or developing solutions that keep projects moving safely. You'll influence critical decisions, eliminate hazards before they reach production, and build the programs and mechanisms that will support the facility for years to come. Most importantly, you'll help build the Safety team and culture you'll ultimately lead as the facility transitions from construction to full manufacturing operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of conducting workplace risk investigations experience
- Experience in conducting workplace risk investigations
- Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
- Experience managing direct reports
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of customer-facing environment experience
- CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA or equivalent risk, audit, or compliance credentials
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment
- Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems
- Master's degree or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
