Job Summary:

As an Android Application Engineer for Google Fi, you will be responsible for architecting core features and enhancing functionality for millions of users while providing technical leadership to junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and grow junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
• Leverage deep expertise in the Android framework and telephony stack to solve complex, low-level integration challenges that define our network’s performance.
• Optimize our release management lifecycles to ensure that user-facing features reach millions of devices with uncompromising stability and velocity.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and address technical debt, improve the app's performance, and ensure its stability and reliability.
• Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate product requirements and designs into a seamless user experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• Experience with mobile app development.
• Experience with Android.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience with integration testing.
