Job description

Role - Payments Operations (Healthcare) Analyst End Client -Banking/ Financial Duration : 06 Months (Possibilities of extension or conversion to FTE) Location - Brooklyn, NY OR Tempe, AZ Payrate : $25 - $30 per hour Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time , paid sick and safe time , hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable) Description : This role is 100% onsite. Focuses on high-speed, high-accuracy alpha and numeric data entry from medical documents. Responsible for posting payments from insurance carriers (EOBs) and patients, balancing daily deposits, and reconciling remittances to ensure accurate accounts receivable data.

Interpret and accurately key data from paper and electronic EOBs into the RMS. Identify, calculate, and apply contractual adjustments, deductibles, copays, and co-insurance based on payer contracts. Balance daily deposits (cash logs) against system posting reports.

Resolve discrepancies between the payment amount and the billed amount. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines when handling PHI (Protected Health Information). Key alphanumeric data from EOBs, payment notices, and correspondence in assigned batches.

Perform data verification to ensure accuracy. Meet daily quotas for number of claims keyed.
