WORKING PEMB FOREMAN
Metal Buildings & Mission-Critical Data Center Construction
Traveling Position โ€ข Full-Time โ€ข Travel Pay & Per Diem Provided

ALPHA LABOR CO โ€” NOW HIRING

ABOUT THE ROLE
Alpha Labor Co is looking for an experienced, hands-on Working PEMB Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial builds nationwide, with a strong focus on data center construction. This is a traveling position for a leader who works right alongside the crew โ€” not just directing from the sidelines โ€” and who can run a crew, hold a schedule, and deliver a tight, code-compliant building with no exceptions on quality or safety.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work in the field alongside the crew โ€” hands-on, tools-on, not desk/oversight-only
  • Lead and supervise crews erecting pre-engineered metal buildings from foundation bolts through final trim
  • Read and work directly from erection drawings, structural plans, and anchor bolt layouts
  • Direct framing, girt/purlin installation, insulated metal panel (IMP) installation for roof and walls, standing-seam roof installation, trim, flashing, and insulation
  • Operate a vacuum lifter to safely set and install insulated metal panels
  • Plan daily manpower, sequencing, and material staging to hit aggressive data center construction schedules
  • Enforce jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and site-specific data center security/access protocols
  • Train, mentor, and hold crew accountable for workmanship and productivity
  • Manage tools, equipment, and material inventory on-site; coordinate deliveries
  • Travel to job sites across the country, including extended stays for the duration of a project

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW / BE GOOD AT

  • 5+ years as a working PEMB Foreman or Lead โ€” hands-on in the field, not just supervising
  • Data center or other mission-critical/high-spec commercial build experience strongly preferred
  • Metal building erection: structural steel, framing, panel systems, trim, and flashing
  • Insulated metal panel (IMP) installation for both roof and wall systems
  • Operating a vacuum lifter for panel installation
  • Reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings
  • Strong leadership โ€” running a crew, resolving field problems, keeping a job on schedule with minimal oversight
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, including multi-week assignments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Able to perform physical work at height and in all weather/site conditions

COMPENSATION & TRAVEL

  • Pay: $37โ€“$43/hr, DOE (Depending on Experience)
  • Per diem: $120/day for out-of-town assignments
  • Travel pay provided
