METAL BUILDING ERECTORS — HIGH-PROFILE PROJECT | CAPE CANAVERAL, FL

PAY — TWO OPTIONS, YOUR CHOICE:

OPTION 1 — $36.00 PER HOUR + $120 PER DAY PER DIEM
You find your own place to stay, per diem is yours to spend how you want.

OPTION 2 — $45.00 PER HOUR + COMPANY-PAID HOUSING
Housing is paid for by the company. Please read: paid housing is SHARED housing — you will have a roommate. No exceptions, no private units. If you're not willing to share a place, take Option 1.

Both options are the same work, same hours, same crew. Pick the one that fits you and tell us which when you apply.

Alpha Labor is staffing an upcoming high-profile project in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This is a secure site with strict access requirements, and we're looking for solid metal building hands who can show up and produce.

Scope of Work

The majority of this work will be steel erection — primary and secondary framing. Depending on how the schedule falls, there is also the possibility of metal roofing, wall sheeting, and trim and flashing work.

Because of that, candidates who are well versed in all aspects of the trade are preferred. If you can erect steel and also run panel, trim, and flashing, you'll get the most hours and the most consideration.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in steel erection (PEMB primary and secondary framing)
• Experience in metal roofing, wall sheeting, trim and flashing strongly preferred
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 FBI background check. All candidates will be screened and fingerprinted at the local sheriff's office prior to badging.
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Tools of the trade required (hand tools, tool belt, impacts/drills)
• Safety certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, Fall Protection, Man Lift, Telehandler. If you don't currently hold them, the company can provide the training.
• Reliable, on time, and able to work a full schedule in Florida heat at elevation

CRIMINAL DISQUALIFICATIONS

Homicide — murder, manslaughter, negligent homicide
Sexual offenses — sexual battery, rape, lewd or lascivious conduct
Any offense against a child — abuse, neglect, exploitation, child pornography
Current sex offender registration, at any tier
Terrorism, espionage, treason, sedition, or a terrorism watchlist match
Kidnapping, false imprisonment, human trafficking

TIME LIMITED - COMMONLY 5–10 YEARS FROM END OF SENTENCE

Violent felonies — aggravated assault or battery, armed robbery, felony domestic
violence
Arson and explosives offenses
Burglary, robbery, grand theft
Weapons felonies — unlawful possession, trafficking, unlawful discharge
Drug trafficking, manufacturing, or distribution
Fraud and dishonesty felonies — embezzlement, forgery, identity theft, benefits or
insurance fraud. These weigh heavier than people expect on trusted-access jobs.
Escape, resisting with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer
Any felony conviction, under most trusted-access standards
The clock almost always runs from completion of sentence — including probation and
restitution — not from the conviction date. Candidates routinely get this wrong by years.

Case-by-case ADJUDICATOR DISCRETION

Misdemeanors — drug possession, DUI, petty theft, simple assault
A pattern of repeated misdemeanors, even where each one is minor on its own
Older felonies that fall outside the standard window
Adjudication withheld or deferred outcomes — these still show on a fingerprint
check and still count as a finding of guilt under most standards
Juvenile findings not sealed or expunged

Status items that stop a file regardless of the offense
BLOCKS UNTIL RESOLVED

Open warrants, including out-of-state and misdemeanor warrants
Pending charges awaiting disposition — treated as disqualifying until the case closes
Currently on probation or parole
Active injunction or restraining order, under some standards

Non-criminal disqualifiers
These fail candidates as often as the criminal record does, and most of them are
catchable on a phone screen before anyone drives to an appointment.

A falsified application. The single most common self-inflicted failure. Lying about a
conviction disqualifies more reliably than the conviction would have.
Failed or refused drug test. On a federal site, marijuana counts regardless of a state
medical card.
Not a US person. Hard bar on export-controlled sites. Note that "US person" includes
citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees — do not narrow it further.
Identity and document problems. No REAL ID-compliant identification, a name that
does not match the SSN, unresolved I-9 or E-Verify issues.
Driving record — suspended license, DUIs, no insurance. Only relevant where the role
involves driving.
Prior barment from the client site or facility. People forget they were escorted off
somewhere years ago.
Dishonorable discharge, on some federal sites.
Refusal to sign the FCRA disclosure and authorization.
