As a Concrete Laborer, you'll play a critical role in bringing these values to life on every jobsite.
What You'll Do
As a Concrete Laborer, you'll support concrete crews in preparing, placing, finishing, and maintaining concrete work while helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Alpha's high standards.
Support Concrete Operations
  • Load, unload, transport, and stage concrete materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Assist with general site preparation and cleanup activities.
  • Help prepare work areas and maintain safe, organized jobsites.
  • Clean equipment and tools after use.
Assist with Concrete Placement & Finishing
  • Help build and set forms, mold expansion joints, and prepare edges.
  • Assist with pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using hand and power tools.
  • Support finishing activities including staining, coloring, sealing, waterproofing, and hardening applications.
  • Operate power vibrators to ensure proper concrete compaction.
Maintain Quality Standards
  • Clean and inspect surfaces before concrete placement.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues that could impact quality.
  • Assist in creating expansion joints and finished edges using appropriate tools and techniques.
Promote Safety Every Day
  • Maintain visual and audible awareness of crew members, equipment, and surrounding activities.
  • Follow all company, OSHA, and trade-specific safety requirements.
  • Assist with traffic control and flagging operations when required.
  • Signal equipment operators to support safe movement and alignment of machinery and materials.
Be a Reliable Team Member
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors.
  • Adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall project success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman.

What You Bring
Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of concrete construction experience preferred.
  • Experience working on commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to climb on, off, and under equipment as required.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Conditions of Employment
Employment at Alpha Inc. is contingent upon:
  • Completion of standard pre-employment screening.
