As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Alp Counseling Center, Inc., your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments for adult clients to ascertain their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to address various mental health concerns.
• Performing comprehensive assessments—including scoring, report writing, and diagnosis—to provide accurate and effective treatment.
• Collaborating with clients to set achievable goals, regularly monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Providing crisis intervention when needed, using your skills to support clients in moments of acute distress.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential client records while adhering to ethical practices and North America’s privacy regulations.
• Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, webinars, and team discussions to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
• Engaging with our community through social media activities and professional consultations to promote awareness and education around mental health topics.

The clients you will work with predominantly include adults facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship issues. Your role will involve crafting personalized therapy that respects the unique backgrounds and perspectives of each client, empowering them to pursue their therapeutic goals and enhance their overall well-being.

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or the ability to achieve licensure shortly.
• Active registration with the relevant professional body and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• Professional liability insurance to protect you and your practice.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
• A commitment to high ethical standards, professionalism, and teamwork.

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be beneficial for applicants:

• Previous experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Specialized training or certifications in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health situations.
