The **Manager, Risk Management & Insurance** is responsible for the renewal and administration of the company's corporate insurance programs, including the collection and analysis of underwriting information, negotiation of coverage terms and conditions, review of quotes, binders, and policies, and ensuring continuity and certainty of coverage prior to policy effective dates. This role provides day-to-day leadership for the Risk Management and Insurance team and is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating the work of assigned staff to ensure high-quality service and operational excellence.In addition, this position supports the financial operations of the department through budgeting, forecasting, premium allocation, premium payments, loss analysis, and reporting activities. This role serves as a key liaison among internal stakeholders, external brokers, underwriters, claims administrators, and legal counsel while helping identify and mitigate risk exposures across the organization. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, insurance expertise, and the ability to develop and mentor team members.**Responsibilities/Expectations:*** Leads the design, negotiation, procurement, renewal, and administration of corporate insurance programs and policies covering Williams, affiliated entities, and applicable joint ventures, including underwriting submissions, presentations, policy placement, and compliance reviews.* Reviews insurance quotes, binders, policies, audits, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and coverage certainty.* Partners with management and key stakeholders to develop risk management strategies, evaluate company exposures, establish best-in-industry processes, and implement company-wide or business-specific initiatives related to risk management, insurance, and claims.* Leads the corporate claims function, including oversight of third-party administrators, claim investigations, settlements, litigation management, reporting, and coordination with Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders.* Collaborates with Legal, Supply Chain, Commercial Services, and business partners to review contracts, indemnification provisions, insurance requirements, and policy language to support effective risk transfer and compliance.* Supports departmental financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, premium allocation, premium payments, loss analysis, audits, and management reporting.* Develops analyses, reports, and presentations for leadership and other stakeholders and supports the ongoing identification and management of company risk exposures and surety programs.* Leads assigned projects and strategic initiatives while providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, development opportunities, and performance management for assigned staff.* Periodic travel may be required, including property risk surveys, underwriter meetings, conferences, and other business-related activities.* Other duties as assigned.**Education/Years of Experience:*** **Required:** Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, or related field; a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in risk management and insurance, including a minimum of three (3) years of management and/or supervisory experience in the energy industry.* **Preferred:** Master's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, or related field; a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in risk management and insurance, including a minimum of five (5) years of management and/or supervisory experience in the energy industry.**Other Requirements:*** Demonstrates outstanding organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with safety as the utmost priority.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and PC-based business systems, with advanced Excel skills preferred.* Skilled in negotiation, analytical thinking, strategic problem solving, and developing sound recommendations for complex business and insurance matters.* Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work effectively both independently and within a team environment.* Experience reviewing contracts, insurance provisions, indemnification language, insurance policies, underwriting submissions, and related risk transfer mechanisms.* Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive, and analytical reports and presentations for leadership and senior management.* Preferred: Broad, in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and commercial insurance products, including property/business interruption, commercial general liability, directors and officers liability, builders risk, environmental liability, cyber liability, and related insurance structures.* Preferred: ARM, CPCU, or other relevant professional insurance designation.* Preferred: Experience with Oracle or similar financial systems.#LI-AB1**Why Tulsa?** Because here, you don’t have to choose between career and lifestyle.
