As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities, contributing to all individuals' overall well-being and satisfaction. Join our team and make a positive impact through your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Part Time 20 hours Per Week

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and inviting environment for our clients and staff. Your contributions will be essential in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, following proper waste management procedures.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.
  • Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor of any low stock or equipment issues.
  • Assist in setting up meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
  • Ensure common areas, such as hallways and reception areas, are always clean and presentable.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services is an asset.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
