Job description

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable CDL Class A Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to various destinations. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL Class A license, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks, flatbeds, or other commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Unload products with a hand truck and place items in customer storage area.
  • Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items.
  • Move tractor trailers in/out of doors and truck yard, as needed.
  • Secure cargo and equipment properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
  • Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating commercial vehicles on public roads and highways.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and timelines to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations to supervisors and follow proper procedures for documentation and reporting.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles as needed, such as checking fluids, changing tires, and replacing lights.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial truck driver preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to sit for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading cargo.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Willingness to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
