Job description

Responsibilities

As a Senior Intel Analyst providing Collection Management for a national defense program space warfighting mission, you will be responsible for developing overhead collection tasks associated with Collection Requests (CRs) while optimizing and documenting external requests to meet mission requirements within asset tasking capacities. In a Collection Management role, you will determine relevant indications and warnings (I&W) of associated threat systems and document potential risks and impacts to mission to support planning activities. Additionally, you will assist the integration and transition of new I&W tools and ensure functionality meets operational needs and programmatic goals. A successful candidate will maintain continuity of operations TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures), awareness of collection capacity and identify RIOs (risk, issues, and opportunities). You will work closely with flight safety, MGSs (Mission Ground Stations) and decision-makers to balance resource tasking and inform of system latencies or impacts to mission.

Responsibilities: 

  • Apply advanced Intel analysis skills to lead team tasks and disseminate actionable space intel to decision-makers across six geographically separated space operations centers
  • Manage intelligence collection and analysis requests through Space Collections Working Group, SOCC Sensor Collection Request, NSA Intel Needs, National MASINT Requirements System, COLISEUM or similar requests
  • Translate mission partner EEIs (Essential Elements of Information) to operationally relevant collection requirements
  • Research and employ an operational mindset when developing intel assessments and build solutions toward improved organizational space domain awareness
  • Support training development efforts and advise strategic and exercise planning events
  • Collaborate frequently across divisions (i.e., flight safety, plans, mission protection, strategy and plans, engineering etc.) and MGSs
  • Maintain data resources and system expertise to execute real world event procedures
  • Shape confident intel assessments and warn of threats to mission critical space and ground assets; develop new tactics, techniques and procedures TTPs for operations
  • Lead and/or attend meetings as required; provide space intelligence knowledge as a resource to senior military and civilian government customers

Qualifications
  • 8+ years' relevant experience working in intelligence community and/or military Intel career fields with BS/BA degree; 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; 6+ years relevant experience with MS degree in related fields; or 3 years of relevant experience with PhD in related fields i.e., Intelligence Studies, Strategic Intelligence, Intelligence Analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of foreign/domestic space & ground system threat capabilities
  • Active TS/SCI with adjudicated Poly 

PREFERRED:

  • 4+ years' experience working Defensive Space Control, Intelligence Analysis roles
  • Expert-level knowledge of foreign/domestic space & ground system threat capabilities
  • All-source Intelligence, Collection Management, and/or Collection Operations experience
  • 2+ years' prior National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) experience
  • Intermediate or advanced understanding of orbital mechanics and mission applications
  • Previous participation in joint, interagency-level exercise planning and execution

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
