We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Field Service Technician to join our growing Technical Service team.


The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial food processing equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the flexibility to travel extensively to support customer operations.


The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial equipment, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer facilities to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food processing equipment and systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, PLC, and control panel issues efficiently and accurately
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance both on-site and remotely via phone or digital communication platforms
  • Partner with customers to understand operational needs and provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Train customers on equipment functionality, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage tools, spare parts, and service equipment inventory effectively
  • Stay current on new technologies, product updates, and industry trends to support continuous improvement in service quality
  • Support after-hours service needs and respond to urgent customer situations as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of field service experience, preferably within the meat processing or food processing industry
  • Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and control panels
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling and working on-site
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional short-notice and after-hours support
  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience servicing industrial food processing or packaging equipment
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred
