Job Description

Alion Science and Technology is seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) subject matter expert (SME) who will perform duties as an operational analyst for current and next generation advanced mobility aircraft. The analyst will participate on cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on the requirements and planning of cost-effective EW systems.ย 


The analyst will assist with developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, collaborate with design teams assessing threats, develop operational systems concepts, and assess mission effectiveness in simulated environments. The analyst may also perform operational analysis studies using a wide variety of existing and self-developed modeling & simulation tools.ย 


Duties and Responsibilities may include:ย 


- Using, developing, and modifying tools to support:ย 

ย  -- Data analysis of simulation or flight test resultsย 

ย  -- Requirements analysisย 

- Evaluation of mission effectivenessย 

- Execution of trade studiesย 

- Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) threat assessmentsย 

- Development & delivery of presentationsย 

- Platform ConOps evaluation and development

Qualifications

The EW SME must have extensive expertise and experience in EW policies and strategies. The SME must be knowledgeable of and able to speak and write authoritatively on all aspects of Air Mobility Command's (AMC) mission area including planning, operations, mission systems, and processes related to that mission area.


Applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's desired) in related discipline plus at least 6 years (required) ; 10 years prefered of directly related experience.ย 


Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of applicable work experience.


Position qualifications are as follows:


Familiarity with AMC and USSTRATCOM processes, operations, and command structure.


Familiarity with end-to-end operations and processes from National level through Unit execution.


Ability to think broadly and strike a balance between traditional and nontraditional thinking.ย 


Critical thinking skills, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Ability to prepare a well-grounded, defensible argument.


Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds.


Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.


Extensive understanding of Joint Electronic Warfare operations, procedures and networks


Candidate must possess the following;


- Current DoD SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET desired)
