DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• CxA Support & Coordination: Support coordination with third-party Commissioning Agents on assigned projects. Assist with review of scripts/deliverables, witness testing as needed, and help verify that results and evidence are accurate and complete.
o Work with a third party commissioning agent on development, review, and implementation of project specific commissioning plans.
• The Built to Run Standard: Perform spot checks of field testing and documentation. Help ensure that passing a test requires adherence to the Sequence of Operations (SOO) and that test evidence supports the result.
• Quality Assurance analysis Support metrics and leading indicators of Critical and High issues during Level 4, RVT and Level 5 (IST) inspection checklists.
• Gating Authority: Support formal gating of systems between levels of commissioning by confirming prerequisites, documentation, and readiness. Escalate when quality of installation or documentation does not meet the Reliability Standard.
• Priority Tracking: Manage the master Commissioning Issue Log (Cx Log) for assigned projects. Categorize issues (Critical, High, Medium, Low) and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Level 4 and 5 Critical and High issues through verified closeout.
• Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with Site Operations to assess the impact of open deficiencies. Define workarounds or Manual Operating Procedures (MOPs) when appropriate and ensure risks are documented and understood.
• Contractor Alignment: Hold General Contractors and vendors accountable to the commissioning schedule, documentation requirements, and technical design intent.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to support the successful implementation and verification of MEP systems.
• Communicate Report status, successes, challenges, and plans of action to management and the broader team on a timely basis.
• Training- Train 3rd party personnel, including the Commissioning Manager, GC MEP Coordinator & Commissioning Project Managers on the Aligned Quality & Commissioning Programs.
• Experience with Cx Alloy or equivalent platform.
• Manage Cx Alloy use and requirements for each project assigned.
• Develop and maintain a feedback loop local to the project and continuously refine risk models, adapt strategies, and track lessons learned.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in commissioning readiness (prerequisites, checklists, documentation quality, and evidence capture).
• Implement best practices that improve test rigor, issue closeout velocity, and repeatability of turnover outcomes.
• Participate in cross-functional lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related engineering/technical field. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in commissioning, reliability, or mission-critical facilities delivery (data centers or similarly complex MEP environments).
o Experience supporting Level 4 functional testing and Level 5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST), including readiness tracking, witnessing tests, and documenting/validating results.
o Experience supporting issue management and closeout (Cx log), coordinating corrective actions across trades/vendors, and contributing to turnover package completeness.
o Knowledge of mission-critical electrical/mechanical systems and controls, including acceptance criteria, SOO verification, and integrated test concepts.
o Ability to interpret one-lines, P&IDs, sequences/control narratives, and testing documentation (plans, scripts, checklists, turnover packages).
o Working familiarity with BAS/controls and EPMS/SCADA trending for functional verification and troubleshooting support.
o Experience with commissioning management platforms (Cx Alloy or equivalent) and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
