Job description

Overview:
Guidepoint's Market Research Team is seeking a Senior Team Lead, Market Research to help lead and train a team of quantitative survey researchers to manage client relationships, design and manage research projects, write and develop questionnaires, and build out reporting and data deliverables for our corporate and financial services clients.
This is a hybrid position out of our New York office.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee a team of 3-6 research analysts and project managers, helping to assign and manage work and ensure high-quality client engagement and timely and accurate delivery of end-to-end research projects
  • Coordinate with other quantitative survey operational team leads and staff (fieldwork, survey programming, data automation) to ensure cross-functional collaboration
  • Train and mentor junior staff on best practices for quantitative survey research design, client communication, project management, and reporting and data analysis, including both simple (descriptive) and more advanced (market share analysis, discrete choice analysis, regression analysis)
  • Train and mentor junior staff on common market research project types (brand tracking, concept/creative testing, market sizing, pricing analysis)
  • Serve as support staff to sales leadership, serving as a client- and prospect-facing voice representing Guidepoint's market research services and capabilities; assist in producing proposals and pricing information for large opportunities
  • Serve as a senior voice for client communication, stepping in to resolve project issues, provide leadership on kickoffs for complex or sustained engagements, and serve as a delivery lead on select projects to senior stakeholders
  • Serve as a direct project manager on large or urgent work as-needed
  • Other duties as required

What You Have:
  • 7+ years working at a market research firm doing survey design, client service, and report delivery, with a focus on quantitative survey research
  • Specific experience in surveying and servicing B2B audiences, with experience in the medical or biopharma sector preferred
  • 2+ years serving in a people management capacity, mentoring and assigning work to junior research staff
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (DisplayR preferred, SPSS, Stata or similar acceptable)
  • Bachelor's degree in social science research (psychology, economics, sociology, political science) and/or statistics and data analysis preferred
  • Comfort with programming and QAing surveys programmed in online survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, Forsta/Decipher, Alchemer)
  • Experience doing background research on business and consumer audiences, recommending sample designs for representative research outcomes

What we Offer:
The annual base salary for this position is $92,000 - $160,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance
