Job description

Who You Are
Be Curious
We ask questions, seek to understand others, and stay curious about the problems we solve. Curiosity fuels creativity and innovation - and helps us build better solutions.
Customer First
We put people at the center of what we do - listening with care, acting with empathy, and going the extra mile to support those we serve. Customer First means understanding the needs of anyone we impact - whether that's a customer, a coworker, or an end user - and doing right by them.
Own the Outcome
We take initiative and do what it takes to deliver results. With resourcefulness and resolve, we overcome obstacles, follow through on our commitments, and hold ourselves accountable - because each of us is empowered to make an impact.
About Alchemer
Founded in 2006, Alchemer is a powerful survey and data insights platform that empowers business professionals to make informed decisions. As SaaS application software, it offers user-friendly data collection tools for understanding customers, markets, and employees in real time and communicating this information across an organization. It provides data insights in over 100 countries, with 50K new surveys created and 5M responses collected every week.
Alchemer has tremendous opportunity to continue this growth, based on current market size and the potential for more sophisticated product positioning and a robust sales and marketing engine. Details on Alchemer's products and services can be found on our website (www.Alchemer.com).
What You Will Do
The Product Manager will own the product strategy and roadmap for Alchemer's analytics and data visualization products. This role blends strategic, forward-looking work of product management, such as shaping vision, positioning, and go-to-market strategy, with tactical ownership, such as prioritizing features, enhancements, and technical debt in close partnership with Engineering. You'll work cross-functionally with other product managers, business leaders, and customers to turn market opportunity and customer feedback into a well-defined, well-prioritized body of work.
How You Will Spend Your Days
  • Develop and evolve the strategic vision and roadmap for Alchemer's analytics products, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term product vision.
  • Work with other product managers and business leaders to understand trade-offs and prioritization of features based on overall product vision.
  • Partner with software engineers and subject matter experts to define technical requirements, establish technical direction, and evaluate trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, bug fixes, and technical debt by reconciling executive-level business priorities with Engineering's capacity and constraints.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and ML capabilities within analytics products to deepen insights and drive customer engagement.
  • Analyze market opportunities, usage data, and customer feedback to refine product positioning and prioritization for maximum ROI.
  • Track and evaluate KPIs to measure adoption, engagement, and the success of key analytics initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation of a differentiated go-to-market strategy with stakeholders, enhancing our position in the AI-powered analytics space.
  • Identify and help resolve roadblocks impeding software development and provide functional expertise on analytics products to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate directly with internal and external customers to gather input for product development, enhancements, and support activities.

What You Bring To This Role
  • 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS
  • Deep understanding of analytics, BI, and data visualization tools/platforms (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Solid understanding of databases, data structures, and data modeling
  • Experience with Customer Experience, Voice of the Customer, or Market Research strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI-powered analytics capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog, balancing business priorities, new development, bug fixes, and technical debt
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering on technical trade-offs, work estimation, and release/sprint planning
  • Proven experience building data-driven products that deliver measurable business value
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical, and internal and external, stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus
  • Passion for turning data into actionable insight and for empowering teams to succeed

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $138,000-$148,000 with eligibility to participate in our Employee Participation Unit program.
Alchemer provides a rich benefits package that includes health and disability coverages, an incredible 401(k) option that includes a per-payroll match and immediate vesting, unlimited time off and twelve paid company holidays.
Alchemer is taking applications for this position from candidates who are legally authorized to work in the US and do not require now, or in the future, immigration sponsorship for work authorization.
At Alchemer, we're committed to attracting, developing, and promoting a diverse workforce, and infusing DEI throughout all of our internal practices. By ensuring that everyone is able to bring a diversity of talents to work, we're increasingly capable of living out our mission in helping our clients. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds and all walks of life to apply.
Don't meet all the requirements? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification listed. Don't let that stop you! We encourage you to apply if you have some of the requirements listed. You may bring qualities that we're looking for in other areas. Building a diverse, inclusive, and customer centric workplace is important to us at Alchemer. If you're excited about this role and your experience doesn't perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. Let's talk!
