The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Office Assistant 1 located in Fairbanks, Alaska. What you will be doing As an Office Assistant 1, this position is responsible for greeting visitors and taking calls to the Fairbanks Regional Office and routing them appropriately.

You will be providing clerical support to the administrative unit who perform a wide variety of tasks and work together to support a large team of social workers in multiple regions throughout the state. We are seeking a candidate with the following competencies: Clerical: Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, and using and completing forms. Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside State government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
