Description
This is an office-based position that requires full-time attendance. Additionally, * *This is a part-time position. Work hours 1p.m-9p.m or 5a.m-1p.m. Friday-Monday (Guarantee 24 hours per week, typically work closer to 40 hours per week)
  • The alarm monitor will provide constant monitoring of the 600 plus alarmed zones on the Fort Cavazos military installation and immediately take appropriate action, to include, informing the Directorate of Emergency Services Police Dispatcher of any alarm zone status change requiring a Police response force response.
  • The Alarm Monitoring Station (AMS) operator will also keep the Contracting Officer's Representative, the alarm maintenance technician, fully informed as to all zone and alarm system events that require maintenance action.
  • The AMS operators will keep an accurate and detailed log of any event and every event, or other information pertinent to the overall AMS operation.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to escalated alarm situations, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of team activities, incidents, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Director of Emergency Services Police Dispatcher and Shift Leader) to address and resolve any issues
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in security or management preferred.
  • Proven experience with team supervision.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of Military rules and regulation and customs and courtesies.
  • Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain suitability requirements for access to classified information.
