Job description

ProSync is seeking passionate Alarm Monitor to provide continuous monitoring, reporting, and response coordination for security alarms, intrusion detection systems, accesscontrol systems, and related security equipment in support of government facilities. This position ensures the protection of personnel, property, and restricted areas by maintaining situational awareness and following established security procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor intrusion detection systems, accesscontrol alarms, duress alarms, and CCTV feeds to identify unauthorized activity or security incidents.
  • Acknowledge, assess, and document alarm activations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Dispatch security personnel or notify designated authorities in response to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity.
  • Verify credentials, access permissions, and authorization for individuals requesting entry into controlled or restricted areas.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and activity records for all alarms, communications, and securityrelated events.
  • Conduct routine checks of alarm panels, communication systems, and monitoring equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, false alarms, or system irregularities to appropriate personnel for corrective action.
  • Follow all physical security, personnel security, and information security requirements applicable to the facility.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including coordination with security forces, first responders, and facility leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of facility security postures, access restrictions, and operational changes that impact monitoring duties.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in security operations, alarm monitoring, dispatch, or related protective service roles preferred.
  • A minimum Top Secret security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/ SCI is required to be considered for this position.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalent certificate.
