Fire Alarm Monitoring Specialist
About the Role
This role oversees fire alarm monitoring services across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72 and other codes. You'll track and respond to alarm signals, analyze monitoring records, prepare reports, and manage relationships with monitoring service providers. The position also includes contract oversight, system integration, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and resolve alarm signals (late-to-test, runaway, communication failures).
  • Coordinate service calls and maintain customer onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Analyze alarm history, identify patterns, and issue weekly reports.
  • Manage monitoring contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, UL certifications, and audit requirements.
  • Develop SOPs and support training for monitoring protocols.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in fire alarm monitoring (UL facility experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA 72, and monitoring protocols.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency with monitoring databases and reporting tools.
