Job Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber Proposal Solutions Architect to lead the technical design and strategic win themes for high-value government proposals. This is not just a "builder" role; it is a "visionary" role. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical solutioning process—from initial white-boarding and defining the technical approach to drafting the final narratives that persuade federal evaluators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the overarching technical approach for RFPs, RFIs, and SSNs, ensuring alignment with agency missions and "Pain Points."
  • Author compelling technical volumes and white papers that are compliant, persuasive, and easy for evaluators to score.
  • Develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure technical milestones, dependencies, and critical paths are realistic and mission-focused.
  • Architect the Basis of Estimates (BOE), bridging the gap between technical requirements and labor/material costs to ensure a competitive yet profitable price-to-win.
  • Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and teaming partners to integrate disparate technologies into a cohesive, single-thread solution.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or architecture specifically within the federal contracting space (DoD, DHS, Civil, or Intel).
  • Proven track record of writing winning technical narratives for large-scale federal procurements ($50M+).
  • Deep understanding of project management frameworks; ability to translate technical tasks into a robust IMS.
  • Expert-level ability to calculate BOEs, justifying labor categories and hours based on historical data and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, and DoD Enterprise Architecture frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineer or IT Management, Master’ Preferred
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Certifications: PMP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or CISSP.
  • Experience with Shipley or similar formal proposal management processes.
