Airport Ramp Marshall
Department: Airport RTT
Reports to: Airport Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
1. Job Purpose/Objective:
Starting at $16/ Hr
As a Airport Ramp Marshall with Roberts Hawaii, you will be a front-line member of the team, greeting all passengers at Kahului Airport. This individual will represent the company in a professional manner, sharing the Spirit of Aloha in all their interactions. Ramp Operations are a very important part of the operation in maintaining safety and direction surrounding an aircraft surroundings. Working in a constant high level of noise and traffic movement.
2. Essential Job Functions:
Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:
  • Be in proper uniform and check schedule daily, Check airport arrivals to ensure flight is on time and/or delayed.
  • Be at assigned station and/or gate as directed to meet / greet passengers.
  • Provide efficient service and meaningful experiences for our visitors.
  • Understanding AOA ramp requirements and maintaining safety
  • Provide chain of direction in a constant noisy, traffic environment
  • Assuring all guests offload stairways from aircraft in a Safe timely manner (3point of contact)
  • Monitoring/Controlling NO phone usage and large amount of guests in a sterile area
  • In an emergency ramp personnel and Security to assure all pax are moved from sterile area
  • Aware of Traffic movement, Jet Blast on ramp
  • Performs other duties as assigned

3. Essential Skills (Minimum qualifications individual must possess when entering position) - i.e. skillsets, education, certifications, etc.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written.
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Customer services experience; or a combination of education and experience
  • Work flexible shifts - weekends, evenings, holidays
  • Able to adjust to changing schedules
  • Interact professionally with all individuals - passengers, vendors, agents, clients, etc.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Alert, aware, quick response, standing for long periods of time
  • Able to pass Ramp Operation Requirements for Badging
  • Understand the Safety, Confidentiality, and privacy of Aircrafts (NO Phone Usage), reacts to

4. Working Conditions/Job Environment
  • Outdoor Ramp environment
  • General Airport Sterile Areas (AOA)
  • Sedentary work - able to lift 5 pounds as necessary onsite
  • Ability to work long hours and stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequently lifting and reaching
  • Occasionally pushing, pulling, bending
