The Opportunity:
High Flying Foods is looking for skilled Line Cooks at our New Belgium Brewing and Santo Restaurants inDenver International Airport. This position requires full availability within our operating hours of 6:00am-10:00pm. You will join a dynamic and positive team, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to our recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
  • Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service.
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain the quality and freshness of our products.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists to ensure all tasks are handled before service begins.
  • Execute cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations and that all tasks are completed.
  • Perform any other tasks as required to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience working as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and managers
  • Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and adhere to food preparation guidelines
  • Demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
  • A valid Food Handler's Card (or willingness to obtain during training as required by law)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for duration of shift
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality results
