Ai Localization information

What is AI localization?

AI localization refers to the process of adapting artificial intelligence systems, such as chatbots, voice assistants, or machine learning models, to work effectively in different languages, cultures, and regions. This involves translating content, adjusting for cultural nuances, and ensuring that the AI understands and responds appropriately to local contexts. AI localization helps make technology accessible and relevant to global audiences, improving user experience and engagement. It often requires a combination of linguistic expertise, technical knowledge, and cultural awareness.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AI Localization Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an AI Localization Specialist, you need expertise in linguistics, translation, and a solid understanding of AI or machine learning concepts, often supported by a degree in languages, translation, or computer science. Proficiency with localization management systems, CAT tools, and familiarity with programming languages or AI platforms is highly beneficial. Strong attention to detail, cross-cultural communication, and problem-solving skills help ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations. These skills are crucial for delivering localized AI products that resonate with global users and maintain technical accuracy.

How does an AI Localization specialist typically collaborate with engineering and product teams during a project?

AI Localization specialists often work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that AI-driven products are accurately adapted for different languages and regions. This involves regular meetings to discuss project requirements, reviewing source content, and providing feedback on technical constraints that may impact localization. Close collaboration helps address challenges such as adapting user interfaces, maintaining context in translations, and ensuring cultural relevance. Effective communication and an understanding of both linguistic and technical aspects are key to delivering a high-quality localized product.

  • Contribute to maintaining creative consistency across multiple brands within a unified organizational strategy.

Campaigns, Promotions & Branded Execution Support

  • Assist in the scalable production of assets for major initiatives including season launches, jersey reveals, single-game promotions, membership campaigns, and paid media (digital advertising and out-of-home).
  • Develop AI-driven automation systems that support high-volume social, digital, and motion graphics versioning.
  • Adapt static creative into motion-ready assets for social, broadcast, and in-arena platforms.
  • Support in-arena visual content production through scalable asset adaptation for LED displays, motion graphics systems, and presentation environments.

Global Partnerships & Co-Branded Creative

  • Support versioning and adaptation of partner-facing creative assets across digital, presentation, and activation platforms.
  • Develop AI-driven automation systems that allow rapid sponsor swaps, localization, and multi-format deployment while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Ensure co-branded outputs align with Hawks Studios' visual standards.

Social & Content Velocity

  • Develop scalable templates and AI-assisted workflows that support high-volume social content production including announcements, milestones, and campaign drops.
  • Increase speed-to-publish through AI-assisted resizing, adaptation, and motion enhancement.
  • Balance cultural relevance with brand consistency.

Creative Technology & Automation

  • Support creative leadership in identifying and implementing AI tools that streamline static and video versioning.
  • Build repeatable automation systems for resizing, localization, format adaptation, and sponsor integration.
  • Animate static creative into motion using AI-assisted and traditional motion design tools.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging generative and automation platforms relevant to sports and entertainment media production.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in motion design, creative technology, or digital production.
  • Heavy expertise in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with AI-assisted creative tools and automation workflows.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems and scalable design production.
  • Strong collaboration skills across brand, design, and production teams.
  • Ability to balance experimentation and innovation with brand discipline.
