Job description

Are you an ambitious sales professional who knows how to stack the pipeline with new leads and close deals? Can you quickly learn technology and instill confidence in clients and prospects? If so, Expedient may be the perfect fit for you!ย 
We areย seekingย a proactive and knowledgeableย sellerย to spearhead the growth of our new AI CTRL services. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of Expedientโ€™s AI strategy, responsible forย acquiringย new customers andย establishingย our presence in this exciting market.ย 
This position is available for applicants who live in or nearby Columbus, Ohio. ย  On-site, in-office daily collaboration is required in Expedient's Columbus office and data center.ย 
The ideal candidate is a strategic seller with a passion forย cutting-edgeย technology, a knack for simplifying complex concepts, and a provenย track recordย of exceeding sales targets.ย This role is unique because youย aren'tย limited to just one lead source. You will apply three distinctย sales motions to close deals:ย 
1. The Channel Closer (Partner Ecosystem)ย 
  • The Mission:ย Our Regional Partner Managers (RPMs) own the relationships; you own theย win.ย 
  • The Action:ย When a partnerย identifiesย an opportunity, you step in as the Artificial Intelligence authority. You will educate the client on Expedientโ€™s AI offering,ย validateย the technical fit, and workย lock-stepย with the partner to close the deal.ย 
2. The Inbound Hunter (Marketing Conversion)ย 
  • The Mission:ย Marketingย identifiesย theย interest; you create theย opportunity.ย ย 
  • The Action:ย You will receive warm leads from our marketingย organization. Your job is toย identifyย the real opportunities,ย setย the meetingsย immediately, and manage the full sales cycleย throughย closeย forย Expedient AI CTRL. A lead is just a startโ€”your tenacity turns it into revenue.ย 
3. The Field Force Multiplier (Internal Overlay)ย 
  • The Mission:ย Elevate our existingย field sales team.ย 
  • The Action:ย You act as the specialist overlay for our Field Account Executives. When they uncover potential in anย opportunityย they are working, you parachute in to explain the product, align the Artificial Intelligence strategy to their specific business goals, and prove the ROI to theย client.ย 
ย Additionalย Responsibilities:ย 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the AI CTRL services portfolio and effectively articulate its value proposition to prospective customers.ย 
  • Stay current on the AI landscape to understand our competitive advantages and position Expedient as a leader in the AI/IT space.ย 
  • Maintainย records inย Salesforce, provideย accurateย sales forecasts, and report on pipeline development and sales goal attainment.ย ย 

Required Skills/Abilities:ย ย 
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in B2B sales, inside sales, SDR/BDR, customer success, or related customer-facing rolesย 
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and qualify leads or support sales activities (cold outreach, follow-ups, discovery calls).ย 
  • Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning, or cloud technology concepts and a clear eagerness to deepen technical knowledge quickly.ย 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable participating in demos and customer meetings with guidance from senior team members.ย 
  • Experience using a CRM to track activity and opportunities (Salesforce experience is aย plus butย notย required).ย 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and follow sales processes for forecasting and reporting.ย 
  • Team-oriented and coachableโ€”able to work effectively with marketing, channel partners, and field sales.ย 
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and focused on building a career in technology sales.ย 
Education and Experience:ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred but notย required; relevant certifications or training in sales/AI are a plus.ย 
Salary for this position will be based on your experience and your skills.ย  Estimated salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 base annually plus uncapped commission.ย 
Location: Columbus, Ohio office and data center.ย  On-site role, regional travel may be required.
