Project Manager - Construction
Greater Phoenix Area (Local Projects Only)
About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established heavy civil general contractor to identify a skilled Project Manager to lead roadway and underground utility construction projects across the Greater Phoenix market.
What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, you will oversee multiple projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead full project lifecycle: planning, execution, and closeout
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Interpret contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Oversee project engineers, superintendents, and on-site staff
  • Drive safety compliance in alignment with OSHA standards
  • Ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of project management experience with a general contractor
  • Experience in heavy civil construction (roadway, underground utilities)
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, JOC)
  • Proficiency in CPM scheduling and MS Office tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of Arizona agencies and standards (ADOT, MCDOT, MAG)
  • Experience with construction software (Sage CRE, TimberScan, MS Project)
  • Familiarity with estimating tools (AGTEK, Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff)
