Job description

Job Title: Balance and Aging Specialist

Location: Balance in Motion- 1009 Lila Avenue, Milford, OH 45150

Job Type: PRN

About Us:

Balance in Motion is a private-pay wellness and therapy practice dedicated to helping older adults stay strong, steady, and independent. By combining therapy and functional fitness, we provide personalized services focused on fall prevention, mobility, strength, and healthy aging. Our private-pay model allows us to provide individualized care without the limitations of insurance restrictions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate OT, OTA, or PTA who is passionate about working with older adults and wants the freedom to provide individualized care without insurance restrictions. This PRN position offers flexibility, with opportunities for increased hours and potential part-time or full-time employment as the business expands.

Important: Applicants must be available to provide a minimum of 10 hours per week during February, March, and April to assist with maternity leave coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead individual and small-group sessions (up to 4 participants)
  • Develop and implement personalized interventions
  • Monitor progress and modify programs as needed
  • Perform assessments (MMT, 6MWT, BBS)
  • Educate clients on adaptive strategies and equipment
  • Complete daily documentation and monthly progress reports

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program or a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
  • Current state licensure as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with senior populations.
  • Must be able to independently lead groups of 4 (Individuals engaged in different activities simultaneously)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, compassionate, and dedicated to improving quality of life
