The Cargo Manager is responsible for overseeing the direction of a variety of cargo handling functions for airline customers at airport cargo facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

* Understand contract requirements and customer expectations.

* Thorough knowledge is based on budgetary responsibilities and financial responsibilities.

* Determine and maintain the necessary and appropriate amount of personnel and equipment necessary to fulfill these requirements.

* While understanding the work requirements, plan and organize the most efficient use of resources to meet these requirements through development and analysis of employee and equipment work schedules.

* Direct and control people and equipment to efficiently complete the tasks within established company standards.

* This is achieved through disciplined following work schedules in line with established company standards.

* Know company policies and interpret manuals to relate the interpretations to subordinates.

* Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel.

* Conduct employee performance evaluations.

* Provide employee counseling and discipline as needed.

* Be responsible for the security of company funds, supplies, and equipment.

* Be responsible for ensuring compliance with established company safety policies and procedures.

* Maintain working relationships with customers and provide prompt responses to service requests.

* Actively search for and report to station management for future business opportunities.

All AGI Team members have a responsibility and duty while at work to:

* Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.

* Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.

* Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, wellbeing, safety, security, or welfare reasons.

* Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.

* Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.

* Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.

* Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.

* Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

* Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.

* Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.

* Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations

* May require occasional travel.

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Must possess a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Report/ MVR.

* Must pass a drug test, background check, and be able to obtain airport security clearance.

Qualifications:

* Three years' progressive management experience in cargo/freight handling including customer service or bachelor's degree in business.

* Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations, including standard security programs and OSHA regulations.

* Working knowledge of various aircraft types.

* Familiar with GSE maintenance procedures.

* Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts.

* Computer skills are required.

* If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
