Job description

Position Overview:

This is an embedded role that sits with our clients in the financial services space.

The BNY Project Manager is responsible for delivering operational excellence, commercial stewardship, and implementing consistent ways of working across our agency partners and internal stakeholders. This role is pivotal in optimizing how our teams deliver work for BNY, enabling best-in-class partnership, process innovation, and commercial success. The Project Manager will partner closely with the Agency PM and Operations Leads as well as BNY stakeholders, to find efficiency and consistency across BNY projects.

This role will be located at BNY's office with in office attendance required 4 days a week.

Client services mindset and ability to work with multiple stakeholders across Integrated agency team and client partners will be pivotal.

Familiarity with Workfront, or other types of project management platform preferred.

Manage creative resourcing for current and future workload across brand and agency resources working in concert with agency project manager and BNY Creative and Production team. Large part of role will be managing workflow and resources to fit within retainer.

Agility and flexibility in re-prioritizing workstreams to allow for ad hoc projects.

Utilize unique position of being on client site to forge relationships with clients and get ahead of work flow, providing insights on current and future projects and identify any operational hurdles.

Focus on on-time project delivery and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
    • Forge strong relationships with BNY client teams and internal Omnicom agency partners.
    • Translate our new model into practice at Omnicom, wiring our internal agency ecosystem to align with shared BNY and Omnicom expectations.
    • Lead BNY and their other agency partners in operational efficiency and smart use of technology.
    • Draft, onboard internal and client teams, and implement new ways of working across the BNY group.
  • Commercial and Financial Management:
    • Support the financial planning, management, and optimization of the global BNY retainer, project scopes, and resource allocations. Manage fluctuating funds distribution across Omnicom offices ensuring proper internal and client communication.
    • Oversee the development of revenue forecasts, utilization reports, and commercial performance dashboards to ensure transparency and growth.
    • Proactively identify commercial upsides, mitigate risks, and support contract negotiations with BNY procurement and finance teams.
    • Manage scope utilization and advocate for additional fees and resources as needed. Track all project and fee progress, reconcile, and report to BNY.
    • Develop and maintain clear, efficient, and consistent approach to Finance, and Commercial Operations with BNY clients and internal agency network.
  • Process Optimization & Business Transformation:
    • Implement the use of the clients' new Marketing Resource Management Workflow tool, advising clients as they launch the platform and engraining its use across the OMC team globally.
    • Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies and workflow tools to unlock efficiencies and elevate BNY' and OMC's marketing operations.
    • Facilitate global best practice sharing, ensuring local market teams benefit from innovations and learnings across our network.
  • Governance, Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure rigorous compliance with BNY's operational requirements, Omnicom standards, and industry regulations across all deliverables.
    • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for process adherence, quality control, and risk management.
  • Network Connectivity & Relationship Management:
    • Serve as a key connector across the BNY and Omnicom global network, enabling knowledge sharing, resource alignment, and consistent excellence.
    • Act as a senior escalation point for operational challenges, providing clarity and solutions at pace.

  • Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of the advertising industry and adjacent industries, especially within large, matrixed client organizations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client service skills with proven experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Judgement and ambassador-mindset in representing Omnicom with BNY and with new Agency Partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex global accounts and large-scale operational programs.
  • Analytical mindset with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, and marketing operations platforms.
  • Expertise in creative production, media, and digital operations for global CPG clients.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and resilient in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6-9 years of progressive experience in advertising agency operations, global account management, with significant leadership responsibilities and global exposure.
  • Experience managing major global regulatory accounts—BNY, or similar clients, strongly preferred.

All hires must be located in or willing to relocate to New York City to work from the client's office 4 days/week.

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 and may vary depending on the candidate's experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
