Job description

About Julius

Julius is an AI-powered workforce technology company transforming how communities connect with the industries defining America's future. Clean energy, AI infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and the skilled trades are reshaping the economy, and the organizations building that future need to know where the jobs are and how to move people into them. That is what we do.

We build labor market intelligence and career navigation tools that turn local demand into clear pathways to careers with real economic mobility. We work with some of the country's leading foundations, national nonprofits, state agencies, sector partnerships, and workforce intermediaries, the institutions shaping how Americans train for and enter these high-growth fields. Our tools are live in communities across the country, helping people find their way into the careers that will define the next generation of American work.

The Role

We are hiring a Strategic Partner Manager to strengthen our existing client relationships and help grow revenue from those accounts.

You will begin with a portfolio of clients where Julius tools are already in use. Your job will be to keep those clients successful, support renewals, and identify additional ways Julius can help them.

As you become more familiar with the portfolio, you will begin working referrals and introductions to organizations connected to your clients. Over time, you will also take on outreach to new organizations within assigned regions and industries.

You will report to the VP of Partnerships and work regularly with our CEO and co-founder.

What You Will Do Manage and grow client accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • Lead client check-ins, product updates, renewal conversations, and coordination with our delivery team.
  • Help clients use Julius tools successfully and address outstanding requests.
  • Learn what each client is trying to accomplish and identify additional ways Julius can support their work.
  • Build relationships with organizations connected to your clients, including regional partners, peer agencies, and funders.
  • Work toward clear goals for client retention, renewals, and revenue growth.
Develop new opportunities over time
  • Follow up on referrals and introductions that come through existing client relationships.
  • Research organizations that may benefit from Julius tools and conduct thoughtful outreach.
  • Use Julius career maps and other live products to start conversations with prospective clients.
  • Qualify larger opportunities and bring in senior leadership when appropriate.
  • Keep the sales pipeline updated so account information, opportunities, and next steps are accurate.
Your First 90 Days

Weeks 1 to 2: Learn your accounts and Julius's product suite, including Career Maps, Career Explorer, labor market dashboards, and courses. Join client check-ins and renewal conversations with the VP of Partnerships.

Weeks 3 to 6: Begin taking ownership of your accounts. Lead client meetings with support, learn our pipeline management process, and identify possible opportunities within and around each account.

Weeks 7 to 12: Manage your client relationships independently, bring forward your first expansion opportunities, and maintain an accurate pipeline and clear next steps.

What We Are Looking For
  • Five to seven years of experience in account management, partnerships, customer success, or consultative business-to-business sales.
  • Experience working with nonprofits, government agencies, education organizations, workforce organizations, or economic development groups.
  • A track record of supporting renewals, retaining clients, or growing revenue, with specific examples of how you achieved those results.
  • Strong writing skills. You will regularly draft proposals, follow-up notes, and client communications.
  • The ability to demonstrate a data product, explain its value, and answer detailed questions about the information behind it.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple accounts and projects.
  • A willingness to raise challenges early and work with the team to solve them.
  • Experience in workforce development, labor market data, community colleges, sector partnerships, or economic development is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary: $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience.
  • Health: A flexible health benefit that allows employees to choose coverage that fits their needs and their family's needs.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan.
  • Time off: Paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave.
  • Development: Support for professional development as you grow in the role.
  • Work model: Hybrid, based in Washington, DC; Boston, MA; or New York, NY.
Why Join Julius

Julius is helping transform the U.S. workforce system and supporting communities as they prepare millions of Americans for the industries defining the country's future. In this role, your work will help more people find clear pathways into careers that offer real opportunity and economic mobility.

You will inherit active client relationships rather than starting from scratch. You will have the opportunity to build trust by delivering strong work and helping clients get more value from Julius tools.

The team is small and experienced, which means you will have direct access to decision-makers and a meaningful role in shaping how we manage and grow client relationships.

The role is designed to expand from client account ownership into business development as you demonstrate that you are ready. That growth is based on your performance and capabilities, not a fixed timeline.

If you want your work to strengthen communities, expand economic opportunity, and help build a workforce system ready for what comes next, we would love to hear from you.

Equal Opportunity

Julius is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities our clients serve.
