Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Impact Partner Manager leads the Impact Partner Team, whose primary responsibility is to collaborate with community partner organizations across the ETFB service area to address the Meal Gap. Acting as a liaison between the food bank and its community partners, the Impact Partner Manager ensures effective communication and collaboration.
As the direct supervisor of the Partner Specialists and Partner Coordinator, the Manager oversees all aspects of the food bank's relationships with community partners. This includes agency development, compliance, succession planning, and the overall management of partnerships.
The Impact Partner Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and actionable recommendations to enhance and expand partnerships, particularly in high-need areas.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Services and Partnership Management
  • Supervise team, ensuring compliance with ETFB, Feeding America, and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) requirements. Stay current on program changes and requirements while maintaining the primary contact role with TDA for audits.
  • Ensure annual monitoring of community partners for program compliance, holding the team and partners accountable for non-compliance.
  • Ensure all partner agencies meet annual requirements and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Educate partner staff and volunteers on client civil rights requirements.
  • Organize and plan the Annual Partner Conference.
  • Ensure team's goals are in line with ETFB's strategic plan and hold team accountable to those goals.
  • Ensure that growth is connected to the strategic plan's goal to increase service in underserved areas.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments of distribution sites considered critical to the community or program.
  • Work collaboratively with the Retail Partners team to ensure compliance and program growth.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to the Community Impact Director and Chief Impact Officer on matters concerning community partners.

Partner Development
  • Monitor Meal Gap compliance, providing feedback and recommendations to grow partnerships and ensure equitable food distribution across the ETFB service area.
  • Advise community partners on growth opportunities, succession planning, food storage, distribution practices, and general food bank procedures.
  • Identify potential disaster partner agencies within the network and provide appropriate support to ensure preparedness for emergency response.
  • Collect and analyze agency statistics, developing metrics to compare historical data.
  • Facilitate ongoing network collaboration to help grow and strengthen food distribution and sustainability in the network.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to help provide expertise and best practices to community partners.

System Management
  • Oversee the initial setup of agencies and shoppers in Ceres (internal database).
  • Maintain accurate records in the Agency database (Salesforce), documenting initial inspections and all subsequent site visits.
  • Ensure regular meetings with partners, documenting interactions in Salesforce.
  • Regularly audit Oasis data input to ensure accuracy

Personnel Supervision
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff; provide performance coaching and support professional development.
  • Schedule staff to meet operational needs and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
  • Establish performance metrics and goals for team members.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and concerns to direct or indirect supervisors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Hold team accountable to yearly organizational goals.

Administrative
  • Oversee and maintain daily relationships between partner agencies and the food bank.
  • Respond promptly to leadership requests for information and guidance.
  • Serve as a representative for ETFB's internal Resource Centers.
  • Escalate significant issues to the direct supervisor as necessary for awareness and support.
  • Contribute regularly to the execution of ETFB's strategic plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position consists of an office and community environment:
Office environment: requires the use of general office equipment such as telephone, computers, calculators and copiers and walking across the warehouse and office areas. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus.
This position requires about 30% travel throughout ETFB's 26 county area.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of progressive work experience in the non-profit industry.
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. Degree in a social science field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Technologically proficient. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software Systems. Specific knowledge of client databases, inventory software, and Tableau a plus.
