Position Purpose:

The Talent and Organizational Development Manager is responsible for building, managing, communicating, and executing a talent development strategy. This person will conduct a thorough needs assessment to design, develop, and implement a variety of training programs and processes, ensuring alignment with NICB’s culture and strategic plan.

Work Arrangement and Description:

This is a hybrid position and the Reporting Location is NICB Headquarters (Oak Brook, IL). The individual will be provided with the privilege and flexibility to work away from NICB Headquarters, but will be required to report periodically in-person based upon business needs, subject to the discretion of their supervisor, and in compliance with NICB's rules and procedures. The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a talent development strategy and framework to align with NICB’s culture, strategic plan, and business needs.
  • Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to highlight areas for growth and desired capability-building, as well as skill gaps. Utilize results to develop and implement talent management initiatives to include onboarding programs, employee training, career development, supervisory/management training, and leadership development.
  • Design and develop (internally or combined with external partners) thoughtful, targeted, and effective training and development programs that meet the identified organizational needs and future growth.
  • Deliver engaging training programs using a variety of platforms to meet diverse learning needs in a largely remote and dispersed workforce.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations to assess program effectiveness and recommend modifications for future programming
  • Support training needs of the performance management cycles (goal setting, midyear reviews, year-end reviews), including enhancing instructional materials and building out development plans.
  • Develop and partner with department leads to develop organizational onboarding program.
  • Partner with the VP, HR to develop and execute succession planning to ensure a pipeline of future leaders. Collaborate with leadership to identify high-potential talent and create development plans to prepare them for key leadership roles.
  • Advise and coach leaders on talent development best practices, offering insights and guidance.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required.
  • 5-7years of experience in Talent Management, Training, Leadership Development, and/or Organizational Development required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on designing, developing, and facilitating training programs required.
  • Leadership Development Certifications (e.g. DDI, Certified Situational Leadership® Trainer) and Assessment Certifications (e.g. MBTI, DiSC, StrengthsFinder) a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, LinkedIn Learning, and Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Experience with building and maintaining SharePoint sites preferred.

Salary Range and Statement:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
