Preschool Classroom Support & After School Manager
Lake Area Discovery Center at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church Golden Valley, MN

Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring a Preschool Classroom Support / After School Manager for our high-quality early childhood program located at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. This is a full-time, year-round position working 35+ hours per week, MondayFriday from 10:00 AM5:30 PM.

We are seeking a dedicated early childhood professional who enjoys supporting preschool classrooms, building relationships with children and families, and leading a safe, engaging after-school preschool program.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support in toddler and preschool classrooms
  • Assist with daily program operations and classroom management
  • Serve as Site Manager and Preschool Lead Teacher for the After-School Preschool Program from 3:005:30 PM
  • Support childrens social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Maintain a nurturing, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and administration

Qualifications

  • Must meet Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications for education and experience
  • Experience in early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or child development preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Passion for working with young children in a play-based learning environment

Pay & Benefits

  • $20.00$23.00 per hour, depending on education and experience
  • Year-round employment
  • 64 hours PTO (prorated)
