Job description

Role Overview:

  • Blend of inpatient pulmonary consults, outpatient pulm clinic, and sleep medicine

  • Pulmonary group does not currently have a trained sleep physician, so sleep referrals will go to the new provider. There is also the possibility of the group taking over an existing sleep practice with existing sleep lab and patient panel

Responsibilities:

  • Daily rounding at 1"2 assigned hospitals in the morning (close proximity)

  • Average daily patient volume: 25

  • Outpatient clinic scheduled in the afternoon (initially a half-day per week, with potential to increase based on growth)

  • The group provides consults at 4 hospitals and 1 long-term care facility, with future expansion as practice grows

Schedule:

  • Monday"Friday: mornings spent on hospital rounds, afternoons for scheduled outpatient clinic as assigned

  • On-call duties for assigned hospitals (new consults handled the next morning; no routine overnight hospital visits)

  • Weekend call: 1 weekend per month (rounding on census)

  • Holiday call coverage distributed among providers

Practice Features:

  • Privately owned (not PE or hospital owned) with a partnership track after 2 years

  • Competitive compensation: base salary plus productivity (collections) bonus

Ideal Candidate:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary Medicine

  • Fellowship trained in Sleep Medicine

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and patient-focused
