St. Martin of Tours School in Gaithersburg Maryland is hiring an After School Program Assistant for the 2026-27 school year.
This is a part-time role and will report to the Principal.
The hours for this position are 2:30pm to 5:30pm Monday - Friday and the pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

St. Martin of Tours is seeking an After School Program Assistant to provide homework assistance, facilitate fun learning activities that are curriculum driven, and supervise enrichment activities such as sports, games, arts, music, crafts, drama and dance for students in the After School Program

Applicants should have the desire to work with kids and…
- Be a positive role model for students
- Provide leadership and guidance for approximately 20-30 students
- Organize and manage a group of students with the ability to maintain a calm and quiet classroom to facilitate homework time.
- Plan and implement recreation activities such as kickball, soccer, four square, basketball, steal the bacon, etc.
- Supervise children on playground and classrooms
- Treat children with dignity and respect, while helping to build self-esteem and confidence through one-on-one interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent demonstration of academic competency.
· Must pass a criminal background check and 2 sets of fingerprints.
· Possess a Valid Driver’s License/ID
- Minimum Age18+ years old
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Must meet state health requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrate the ability to assist in the planning and facilitation of activities in an after school program.
