About the Role

Code Ninjas is seeking a Coding Instructor to teach both our JR Program (ages 5-7) and CREATE Program (ages 8-14). As a Code Sensei, you'll help kids 5-14 develop proper coding skills, build fun games, and explore advanced STEM topics.

Responsibilities (what you will be doing)
  • Create a positive, fun, and safe learning environment for children aged 5-14.
  • Deliver Code Ninjas curriculum, including block-based coding for younger students and syntax-based coding for older students, such as JavaScript, Microsoft MakeCode, Godot, and C#/Unity.
  • Lead engaging activities such as STEM/Robotics, Minecraft and Roblox programming, 3D printing projects, and seasonal camps tailored to various age groups.
  • Design, modify, and execute interactive coding and STEM activities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Assess students skills, track their progress, and provide feedback to parents after each session.
  • Ensure the center is clean, organized, and safe for all students.
  • Work with teammates to create content for social media and promotional materials.
  • Share students achievements and progress, addressing any questions or concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Required Qualifications
  • Must have multi-year coding experience (block coding, Javascript and Unity C#)
  • Enthusiastic about teaching coding, computer science, and STEM concepts to kids with empathy, kindness and make it fun..
  • Prior experience working with kids aged 5-14 in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles.
  • A well-organized individual with strong classroom management skills and a can-do attitude to solve problems and support teammates.
  • Quick learner, eager to improve skills, and willing to adapt to new challenges.
  • Resides locally in the Tracy area.
