Job Description

Conducts financial feasibility analysis for loan and grant administration and performs various financial analyses for environmental and business-related documentation as identified in task orders. The Economist/Financial Reviewer has an educational background in finance or a business-related field, and at least two years of experience in economics or financial analysis.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in economic analysis, financial review, or related roles, preferably in the public sector or with federal agencies.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity pricing, farm economics, and rural development issues.
  • Familiarity with USDA programs, policies, and regulations related to agriculture, food, nutrition, or rural development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex economic and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with financial management systems, budgeting processes, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in financial and economic analysis.
