About the Role 

 

Asplundh Electrical Testing (AET) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our growing operations team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth day‑to‑day business functions while providing direct support to leadership, field operations, and customer engagement efforts.

 

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment, enjoys supporting field and technical teams, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently behind the scenes.

 

At AET, safety, precision, and service excellence drive everything we do. As part of a NETA‑accredited electrical testing organization, you will contribute to supporting projects across the utility, energy, data center, and industrial sectors.

Position Details

  • Full-time, permanent, onsite position with benefits
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (excluding holidays)
  • Overtime is not typically required
  • This is an in-person role; relocation is not available; Local candidates only

 What You’ll Do

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative and operational support to AET leadership and field teams
  • Manage ad hoc projects and administrative priorities for the Area Manager and operations team
  • Prepare reports, track metrics, and perform data analysis (Excel and Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Serve as the front office point of contact:
    • Answer calls
    • Greet visitors
    • Manage mail and deliveries
  • Maintain office supplies, vendor relationships, and facility needs
  • Coordinate logistics for:
    • Internal meetings
    • Field operations support activities
    • Offsite events and team functions
  • Review reports, test documentation, and deliverables for accuracy and consistency
  • Support customer engagement efforts, including:
    • Trade shows
    • Client meetings
    • Event logistics (travel, lodging, materials)
  • Assist with NETA certification coordination for field technicians (training tracking, documentation)
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for leadership
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems in line with company policies
  • Process:
    • Invoices
    • Expense reports
    • Budget tracking support
  • Partner with vendors for office services, maintenance, and supplies
  • Support safety documentation, compliance tracking, and operational processes
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation scheduling, and personnel documentation
  • Help coordinate team engagement activities and company events

 What You Bring

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • CRM systems such as Salesforce (preferred)
  • Proven ability to:
    • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Stay highly organized in a fast‑moving environment
    • Maintain strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional presence
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify and improve processes
  • Customer‑service orientation with a collaborative, team‑first attitude
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience supporting events, travel coordination, or field operations is a plus
