Job description

Addison Energy Technologies (AET) is seeking a motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team in Toccoa, GA. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy solving problems, and are looking for a long-term career with a stable and growing company, we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) and Commissioning projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bidder lists
  • Support the immediate needs of project schedules and bid deadlines
  • Coordinate with internal departments throughout the estimating process
  • Assist with pre-engineering activities following project award
  • Learn and utilize our CAD software to prepare project documentation
  • Maintain organized estimate files and project records


Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with PlanSwift estimating software is a plus
  • Experience with Bluebeam or similar construction estimating software is a plus
  • Ability to learn company-specific CAD and estimating software
