Job description

Company Overview: Best Promotions, an HPG Brands company, is a leading decorator and supplier of a wide variety of advertising specialty products to the promotional products industry.
The Production Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating the manufacturing activities of several production departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.
  • Reviews production works orders to verify correct material components and quantities are available, and to schedule orders to achieve on time delivery in a large volume job shop setting.
  • Plans production operations, coordinate the proper number of employees and hours, establish priorities and sequences for producing work orders.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance problems to ensure cost effectiveness and minimize operational delays.
  • Provides guidance to all personnel with regards to policies and procedures, employee relations issues, and management directives.
  • Serves as liaison between production departments and customer service departments.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Assures 5S standards are maintained.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Identify and coordinate environmental and sustainability improvements.
  • Manages production employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all manufacturing units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education and experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common ERP software.
  • Strong skills in work planning and scheduling
  • Experience in training and coaching associates
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Problem recognition, resolution and solution implementation
  • Strong strategic/innovative thinker with the ability to present information and interact effectively across all levels of the organization

Bonus Qualifications and Skills:
  • Print industry experience (Digital and or Screen printing, light assembly)
  • English/Spanish
