Job description

General Job Description: 

Excellent customer care is the most important part of our industrial supply business and the reason we have been in business for 40 years.  We have a small, but mighty workforce and a pleasant fast-paced work environment.  If you are a self-starter, hard worker, have a positive and a can-do personality, you will fit well with our team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

-Answer telephone and direct to appropriate person or take message

-Receive/distribute inventory; must learn stock locations, part names, common customers, preferred vendors

-Use accounting software to enter checks, run reports, and other etc.

-Assist outside sales & materials coordinator as needed

-Create customer advertising packets

-Assist and back-up warehouse coordinator with shipping & receiving; inventory counts; shelving and organizing inventory; warehouse and office upkeep (sweeping, dusting etc.); and other warehouse duties as needed

-File President’s invoice copies and other documents as required

Minor Duties and Responsibilities

-Cross train with warehouse and materials to handle day-to-day administrative duties (filing, expediting)

-List obsolete items on eBay store

-Edit and update website, line card and other documents

-Handle special projects such as important updates to customers, running reports, tracking sales, forecasts, etc.

-Explore social media marketing areas, Google Ads, Facebook Ads etc.

-Manage product labeling for stock items

Qualifications for Job

-Current College Student (preferred)

-Reliable transportation to and from work

-Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)

-Ability to work a consistent part-time schedule

Physical Requirements

-Unpacking and preparing skids for shipment (only required to assist warehouse)
