Shady Grove is a 266 bed licensed acute care facility located in Rockville, Maryland. Shady Grove Medical Center provides a range of health services to the community such as high-risk obstetrical care, cardiac and vascular care, oncology services, orthopedic care, surgical services and pediatric care. Opened in 1979 as Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Shady Grove Medical Center operates as part of Adventist HealthCare, a health-care delivery system that includes hospitals, home health agencies and other health-care services. Adventist HealthCare is headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Shady Grove Medical Center is located within a 600-acre Life Sciences Center (LSC), which has Montgomery County's largest concentration of advanced technology companies including the hospital, Johns Hopkins University-Montgomery County Campus (JHU-MCC), the Universities at Shady Grove and biotechnology companies.
Rockville, Maryland, close to Washington, D.C., Rockville has many restaurants and shops clustered around Rockville Town Square, with its lawn and seasonal ice-skating rink. The grounds of the early-1800s Beall-Dawson House include the Stonestreet Museum of 19th-Century Medicine. Civic Center Park has gardens and trails. Northeast, in Rock Creek Regional Park, Meadowside Nature Center has nature and culture exhibits.
Qualifications
  • All USAP Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
  • Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements for the hospitals they will have privileges.
