Job description

Home Health Aide (CNA) Southern Maryland

Adventist HealthCare Home Health is hiring a Home Health Aide (CNA) in our Southern Maryland Territory, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Home Health Aide (CNA) you will:

  • Assists with rising patient care needs
  • Provides excellent personal care to patients to maximize satisfaction according to Aide Plan of Care
  • Maintains safe environment in patient's home
  • Manages visiting caseload productivity within the appropriate expected time frame
  • Documents care provided to meet regulatory requirements in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Consults with professional staff on patient problems and is involved with long and short-term goals that are consistent with organization's vision, mission, values and goals
  • Completes continuing education and competency requirements within designated time frames as specified by Medicare conditions of participation
  • Provide and/or assist with personal hygiene activities, utilize preventive skin care measures, Perform special procedures/treatments

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of HHA/CNA experience preferred
  • Valid Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Valid driver's license with agency insurance requirements

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week

Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Shift Type: Days

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend rotation

Holiday Requirements: Required - Follow company holiday calendar

Pay Range:

$19.21 - $24.90
