Job description

Express Employment is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Service Writer to be the first point of contact for our customers. If you have excellent communication skills, enjoy helping people, and have a passion for the automotive industry with Service Writer experience, we'd love to meet you.

Our client is a locally owned repair shop specializing in quality automotive repair and maintenance for domestic and import vehicles. They pride themselves on honest service, clear communication, and building long-term relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate repair timelines.
  • Prepare repair orders and enter customer and vehicle information into the shop management system.
  • Communicate recommended repairs, estimates, and maintenance needs.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Process invoices and collect payments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate service records and customer files.
  • Assist with warranty documentation when applicable.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through honest communication and follow-up.
Qualifications
  • Previous customer service or service advisor experience REQUIRED.
  • Automotive knowledge is strongly preferred.
