Job description

Title: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Analyst
Description
The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Analyst will be a member of the Finance Data Office, which is part of the Global Financial Operations and Reporting (GFOR) organization. The SAC analyst will be accountable for developing and sustaining planning models in SAC aligned to business requirements. The role requires advanced expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud planning model development, strong analytical capability, curiosity, effective communication, and the ability to derive actionable insights from data while exercising sound judgment regarding impacts to user experience and existing models.
The successful candidate will bring direct experience in problem solving, process analysis, design, and implementation of reporting and process solutions. The role requires experience in Finance, Information Technology, Operations, analytics, BI reporting tools, and ERP systems.
The position reports to: Financial Reporting & Analytics Team Leader (Jamie McClellan)
Responsibilities
1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
2. Understand business requirements and translate into scalable SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions
• Provide end-to-end ownership of the SAC roadmap, including prioritization, capability advancement, governance alignment, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing communication of progress, risks, and key milestones
• Design and maintain SAC planning models by partnering with Finance to gather requirements, delivering scalable solutions, and proactively managing enhancements and downstream impacts
• Develop and sustain SAC forecasting input stories/templates to support Forecast and annual ops plan (AOP) processes, ensuring alignment to evolving business needs while minimizing disruption to existing solutions
• Lead the redesign and modernization of the FP&A model within SAC to improve scalability, usability, and alignment with evolving business planning requirements
• Own the design and development of SAC stories that empower Finance partners to review, validate, and leverage forecast and planning outputs across reporting cycles
3. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) support activities
• Maintain the forecast input submission process, equipping users with self-service capabilities and providing troubleshooting support to ensure accurate and timely submissions
• Support integration with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, planning/financial systems, and BI/HANA environment
• Provide ongoing optimization of SAC stories, ensuring they continue to enable Finance partners to effectively review, validate, and leverage forecast and planning outputs while evolving designs to support changing business needs
• Maintain and optimize SAC backend configurations and processes, including data mappings and currency translation logic, to ensure planning models operate accurately, consistently, and without disruption to business users
4. SAC Adoption & Enablement
• Drive adoption of SAC across Finance by promoting best practices and establishing consistent usage standards
• Educate and enable stakeholders through training, guidance, and hands-on support to build SAC capability and confidence
5. Develop and maintain SAC functional and technical documentation in alignment with governance standards
• Build deep knowledge of OC standards, BI architecture, and roadmap to design scalable, sustainable analytics solutions
• Stay current on emerging analytics trends and technologies, applying innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Document SAC developments and model relationships, ensuring transparency and traceability across solutions
• Define technical requirements and partner with BI COE to align on scalable, fit-for-purpose approaches for the OC environment
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5+ years of experience in Finance, Information Systems, or analytics-focused roles
• SAC Expertise: Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing SAC solutions (planning, forecasting, predictive analytics), including data actions, security, and integrations
• Technical & Data Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP ecosystems (S/4, ERP, BI), SAC architecture, data modeling, integrations (SAP and non-SAP), and governance practices (data quality, controls, and stewardship)
• Analytics & Business Acumen: Advanced reporting and analytics capabilities with strong financial knowledge and ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
• Consulting & Collaboration: Experience in business consulting, project management, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement to deliver impactful, enterprise-aligned solutions
